Interview with Paul Oneile, CEO & MD, Aristocrat Technologies
This week, the Global Gaming Business Podcast features an interview with Paul Oneile, the chief executive officer and managing director of Aristocrat Technologies. Since Oneile was appointed chief executive officer and managing director of Aristocrat Technologies in December 2003, he's been constantly putting out fires. Whether it was over-enthusiastic earnings reports or creating a new marketing team, he's spent a lot of time righting a listing ship. And now that the economy is listing as well, it seems Oneile's hands-on leadership is needed more than ever. Despite the difficult times, Oneile believes Aristocrat is poised to make a dramatic rebound once the economy comes back. He cites the company's slot products, gaming systems and R&D capabilities as its core strength. He spoke with Global Gaming Business Publisher Roger Gros and Editor Frank Legato at G2E Asia in Macau in early June.
Roger Gros is publisher of Casino Connection International, LLC. Gros was editor of Casino Journal, the National Gaming Summary and the Atlantic City Insider, and was the founding editor of Casino Player magazine. He was a co-founder of the American Gaming Summit and the Southern Gaming Summit conferences and trade shows. He is the author of the best-selling book, How to Win at Casino Gambling (Carlton Books, 1995), now in its third edition. Gros was named “Businessman of the Year” for 1998 by the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce.
